Promoting the Brasov International Marathon powered by Telekom Sport at the Frankfurt Marathon Sport Expo

At the end of October, part of the organizing team of the Brasov International Marathon powered by Telekom Sport travelled to Frankfurt, in Germany, where they presented the event in the heart of Transylvania to foreign participants.

This trip marked the beginning of the international tour for promoting the event and, implicitly, the city of Brasov. Moreover, the tour is backed by the Internationalization Programme of Romanian Economic Operators, supported by the Romanian Government.

During the Sport Expo Frankfurt Marathon, at the stand of the Brasov International Marathon powered by Telekom Sport, the sports television of Telekom Romania, participants and spectators enjoyed a 360° experience:

  • they met Dracula;
  • they ran on a treadmill while watching clips of the most attractive segments of the marathon route;
  • they experienced the vibe of Brasov city in VR/360° format, with the aid of VR glasses;
  • they tasted traditional Romanian drinks;
  • they had photos taken in the photo booth;
  • they watched the international promotional spot – Explore! Eat&drink! Relax&Have fun! Run! – on an LCD screen.

Next stop: the international exhibition of the Lago Maggiore Marathon in Italy, on November 3rd-5th, 2017.

The Brasov International Marathon powered by Telekom Sport will take place on May 19th-20th and welcomes participants from all over the world at the start line. So far athletes from Moldova, Norway, Ireland, Sweden, Switzerland, Hungary and Germany have already registered.
